Technical Diving Courses
TechnicalNational Diving Center offers a variety of technical diving courses including Nitrox Diver, Advanced Nitrox Diver and Solo Diver classes.

TECHNICAL DIVING INTERNATIONAL COURSES

Nitrox Diver

The Enriched Air Nitrox Diver course instructs divers on the safe use and application of enriched air breathing gas mixtures for sport diving. Topics include the physiology and physics of enriched air, as well as the safe handling and use of breathing gasses other than air. Acquire recreational diving’s most popular specialty certification with this eight-hour course. The $125.00 tuition fee includes the Instructional fee, certification fees, and student materials.

Advanced Nitrox Diver

The Advanced Nitrox Diver course is the entry-level course for diving beyond the recognized recreational limits. Technical training in enriched air use includes an emphasis on the physiology of oxygen as well as its application to decompression diving and decompression acceleration. This approximately twelve-hour course consists of two classroom sessions, one confined water training session, and four certification training dives. Training dives will take place at various sites in the local area, both in controlled inland water as well as the Atlantic Ocean. Tuition includes the Instructional fee, certification fees, and use of cylinders and weight belt. Boat charter fees are an additional expense.

SCUBA DIVING INTERNATIONAL COURSES

Solo Diver

The hottest new course in recreational diving is Solo Diver. This course is designed to build the self-reliance necessary to safely execute solo dives. Topics of instruction include dive planing, equipment considerations, and in-water diving emergency techniques. Rescue Diver certification, and a minimum of 100 logged dives are prerequisites for this course, which consists of one classroom session and one day of certification training exercises. The $150.00 tuition fee includes the Instructional fee, certification fees, primary and pony bottle cylinder rental, and student materials.
